Every Wednesday, Pierre Brochant and his friends organize a dinner for idiots. The principle is simple: Each participant brings a "con", and the one whose guest stands out the most is declared the winner. This evening Pierre is happy, he thinks he has found the rare pearl: François Pignon, accountant at the Ministry of Finance, passionate about scale models made of matches. But what he doesn't know is that Pignon, ready to do anything to be of service, is a fierce bearer of mischief, a master in the art of triggering disasters... The meeting between two destinies which should never have cross.
