Conference: Bestiaries: discovering familiar and fabulous animals
Originally from the city of Mons but living in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for 40 years, Isabelle BERNARD studied history (options: Antiquity and Middle Ages) in Namur then in Louvain-La-Neuve. She was a teacher for 25 years, among others, at the Lycée Français du Luxembourg.
She was also the coordinator responsible for the non-profit organization Preservation of heritage and cultural activities at the Beckerich mill for 17 years.
She is Honorary President of the Musée de la Grande Ardenne – Piconrue in Bastogne. She has curated several exhibitions including the one on Notre-Dame de Luxembourg: Devotion and Heritage at the Musée de la Grande Ardenne -Piconrue in 2016.
She is also the author of several books and articles in various Belgian and Luxembourg history journals.
She is also a tour guide.
