The VENEREM quartet meets the Tanz sal dance company! In addition to VENEREM's bold revisits of baroque masterpieces, there are jazz and modern dance choreographies created especially for this program by Andreas Lauck and performed by the Tanz sal troupe. The arrangements and improvisations on Purcell, Arbeau, Strozzi, Händel, Vivaldi, serve the best European modern and jazz dancers for a unique artistic experience!
Since 2019, the VENEREM quartet has brought together soprano Laureen Stoulig, Marlo Thinnes (piano and arrangements), Simon Zauels (bass guitar), Michel Meis (percussion). After a first album released under the Telos Music label in 2021, it has met with great critical and popular success from its first concerts. Their daring revisits of masterpieces of the baroque repertoire are unanimously acclaimed, the energy and expressiveness of VENEREM giving a new intensity to these famous baroque airs.
