A sound, a group, a universe. In her second album, Jeanne Michard establishes herself as THE French tenor saxophonist to follow. French Revelation 2022 from the editors of Jazz Magazine and Jazz News then Revelation of the Victoires du Jazz 2023, she continues the flourishing adventure of her Latin 5tet, between Paris, New York and Havana, with Julien Lourau as artistic director. Eager to push further the adventures begun on a very successful first album, to enlarge the circle and to integrate new sounds into this great mix of Afro-Cuban jazz, Jeanne Michard unveils Entre Las Flores and combines dance and finesse, melody and spirit. Always so well surrounded, Jeanne never ceases to convince, fair and inspired in each intervention, soloist and "leader" at the service of a group and a music that she sincerely adores, and masters more and more. The idea, she says, was to create an album "a little closer to me." It is even more beautiful and richer. A successful bet!
