Pierre and Josette are two mischievous, curious, intrepid, dreamy and energetic children. Pierre is a country child who likes to walk in the meadow near his house, accompanied by his friends the bird, the duck and the cat. Josette is a city child who likes her father to tell her stories.
The two children love the unusual and the marvelous, and it is their adventures that are told in this double musical tale. The first part tells the story of Pierre. Written and composed in 1936 by Sergei Prokofiev, Pierre et le Loup was a huge success from the outset, which continues to this day and makes it an essential reference. The second part tells the story of Josette. Composed in 2020 by Thomas Nguyen, Tales 1, 2, 3, 4 are inspired by the eponymous collection by Eugène Ionesco, written between 1967 and 1971.
