Isabelle Marinov is a writer, screenwriter, and new fitness coach. Isabelle was a naive dreamer in high school and, uncertain of her path, decided to study law in France and the United States. She worked in the legal field for 15 years before becoming a full-time writer. Her illustrated albums, published by Templar (a subsidiary of Bonnier Books UK) and Enchanted Lion Books (USA), have been translated into many languages, including Korean and Chinese. Two of them are currently being adapted into films with Deal Productions and Studio Melusine (animation). Her latest book, Henri and the Machine, has been nominated for the Klaus Flugge Prize 2024 (UK). Isabelle has also written a non-fiction picture book for Oxford University Press, To Meet A Comet, published in August 2024. Her first novel for young teens, Boy Underground, was published by Sweet Cherry Publishing in 2023. It was shortlisted for the Edward Stanford Award 2024 in the UK and the Prix Servais in Luxembourg, and is being adapted into a live-action film with Deal Productions. Its sequel, Boy Overboard, will be published in 2025. Isabelle is currently working on the film adaptation of several of her books and hopes to complete the first draft of her adult novel by the end of the year. 'One fine evening with…' is a carefully prepared event dedicated to showcasing an emerging or established talent from Luxembourg. Artists from music, dance, visual arts, or literature have the opportunity to present their work. An entire evening is dedicated to the artist, exploring the motivations behind their creation, be they desires, fears, or sources of inspiration. 'One fine evening with…' offers an intimate glimpse into the world of each artist and will be hosted by Luc Spada. The conversation with the artist takes place in Luxembourgish. The reading will be in English.
