Three years ago, the Division of Civil Engineering of the Ponts et Chaussées entrusted Éric Chenal with the mission of documenting the construction of a cycle path, an aerial link between Esch-sur-Alzette and Belval. Some images of the work were collected in the editorial trilogy VëloDukt and are the subject of a series of exhibitions this autumn.
The carte blanche offered by LUCA holds a unique place in this collection because it allows new photographic research to be revealed in the dialogue with space.
If the architectural work is recognized in its uses by going beyond the initially planned destinations, with Xavier Pompelle the audiovisual representation of the construction is transported beyond its initial framework to invite the imagination to new movements.
