A humorous and emotional tribute to Elvis... and friendship!
They are four, four guys in blue sneakers, instead of Blue Suede Shoes. Four Elvis fans who, each August 16, the day of their idol's death, meet to celebrate. For a night, Jean-Damien, Joël, Pascal, and Mathurin pretend to be the King, because life might be way better in a glittery suit. However, this August 16 will be different... Tribute to Elvis or his fans, a satire of look-alikes like in 'Podium'? Not really. With this project, Héloïse Ravet intended to poetically talk about the difficulty of being oneself. To feel alive, her fragile-hearted antiheroes try on another skin, another voice, to see if it helps. And it is this shared fiction that ultimately gives them courage and hope... A tender fable about friendship, shared passions, and the warmth of communities we build to get through life.
