Geopoetic excursion to Hutbierg-Léiffrächen
Geopoetics invites us to question the relationship between man and the earth, to open our senses and our intellect to the experience offered by life on earth and to arouse in us a feeling of presence in the world.
Imagine a vast wasteland, made of dust and red stones, at the dawn of time. It is this earthly memory of Minett, the land of red rocks, that Davide Sapienza and Robert Weis attempt to convey in their geopoetic travel diary, Rocklines (Éditions Phi, 2022).
Between industrial remains, re-naturalized landscapes and spectacular geosites, we will immerse ourselves during this walk in the very special universe of Minette, the land of red earth, following the signs of their geological history which dates back to the Jurassic period, 180 million years ago.
It is an invitation for a personal journey through Minett, a land full of surprises that reveals itself to those who walk on foot and with an open heart.
The walk will be punctuated by short reading extracts in French taken from the book Rocklines.
