Fortifications - Memorial Mapping - Part 1
As part of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Moselle, the Community of Communes of Cattenom and Environs presents “Fortifications”, an immersive, narrative and artistic video mapping highlighting two works of the Maginot Line on its territory: the Immerhof in Hettange-Grande and the Galgenberg in Cattenom.
At nightfall, these sound and light shows will transform the military structures into a living canvas where historical heritage, archive images and regional culture will intertwine in a tailor-made and captivating creation, enhanced by video-mapping technology. A suspended moment, both educational and moving, that will immerse you in the heart of local history, bringing back to life these casemates that played a major role in the troubled times of the last century.
Each fort will host a unique thematic program. The two parts complement each other, although it is possible to see the second independently of the first.
