"On the evening of November 21, 2005, Kay Dancourt, Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic of Paris, disappears on the way from the Paris courthouse to her home in Palaiseau. Her husband, Axel Dancourt, a gendarme with the PSIG in Palaiseau, worried, raises the alarm. The gendarmerie patrol finds the magistrate's car on the emergency lane of national road 118, door open, without its driver. The hypothesis of abduction is immediately considered, and the Paris Prosecution is alerted. At daybreak, the Prosecutor of the Republic deploys great means and initiates searches to find his colleague. Axel joins the search. After spotting one of the shoes his wife wore the morning of her disappearance, he discovers a terrible scene following Ninja, the family cat who escaped from the house in the night in search of his owner. Axel, nicknamed the "black cat" of PSIG by his colleagues due to the unusual and bizarre situations he attracts during patrols, will, with Ninja's help, actively participate in the investigation to clarify the mystery surrounding Kay's disappearance."
