From his opera Lessons in Love and Violence described as "a new masterstroke"
by ResMusica, George Benjamin has produced a suite performed by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by its honorary conductor Sir Simon Rattle and soprano Barbara Hannigan present from the premiere. Associated with the scintillating Éclat by Pierre Boulez and the Fourth Symphony by Johannes Brahms, it is therefore a real lesson, not of love and violence, but of masters, that the British orchestra and conductor reserve for the audience of the Philharmonie.
