Bringing together the works of 40 international artists, the exhibition After the end. Cartographies for Another Time , curated by Manuel Borja-Villel, will question the Western narrative that is rooted in a colonial system through stories both new and ancestral, popular and modern. Highlighting the importance of communities, the exhibition will explore the issue of the diaspora and the limits of the intelligibility of modernity in order to imagine other worlds beyond the end of time and beyond our own time.

Many of the artists featured are from, or linked to, regions of the world such as the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Committed to questions of gender and belonging, they invite us to expand and enrich our understanding of the world. They experiment with practices as much as situations that question spirituality, politics and community, creating a different relationship to time and space. A number of works have been conceived by the artists for the exhibition, and will be presented for the first time on this occasion.
