Conference "The Remarkable Trees of the City of Metz"
At the invitation of the Moselle Horticultural Society, Alfonso Iglesias, a technician responsible for managing the city's tree heritage in Metz, will hold a conference on the theme "The Remarkable Trees of the City of Metz". Metz is home to nearly a hundred remarkable trees with majestic forms due to their size and/or characteristics (height, circumference, age, or botanical rarity). The oldest tree in Metz is the Pedunculate Oak located on Rue Baudoche, aged 220 years, while the tallest is the Giant Sequoia in the Botanical Garden, which stands 40 meters high.
