Metz Photo presents with Photo Forum the new exhibition of its 13th annual cycle "Prose and Poetry, an aesthetic in-between" with this exhibition by Retmarkus titled "Let's Walk in the Woods and See How the Forest Is Doing", with the opening on Sunday, February 2 at 11 am. "Mysterious, shamanic, aesthetic, the forest invites us to dreamlike, bucolic scenarios... Off-trail, if we linger our gaze, another choreography is displayed. The curves, torsions, crashes, uprootings, thirsts, sweats, mutilations, and scarifications of the times of our time then appear as signs. Life in the forest is much more chaotic than what we glimpse from paths laid out by Sunday walks. Sylvain and Sylvette are concerned." RetMarkus, 2024
