Everyone writes songs? All the time. In the shower, while walking, in the car… Some, like Julien Joubert, have decided to make it their profession. This piece won't give you the recipe for writing a hit, but it will allow everyone, whether a musician or not, to delve into the mysteries of composition in a fun and theatrical way.
By the end of this evening, harmony, melody, prosody, and modulation will hold no secrets for you. In about 1 hour and 20 minutes, you will have composed a song, traversed the history of music, gained insight into the life of a living composer, but most importantly... you will have laughed.
