As part of their latest tour "The best for last", IGUANA will give a concert on October 26 in the concert hall of the ARCA cultural center in Bertrange. For this farewell tour, the group was able to recruit none other than Valérie Grachaire for their latest project. Valérie Graschaire enjoys an excellent reputation in the Grand Est region since she regularly performs with renowned jazz musicians such as Stéphane Belmondo, Pierre-Alain Goulach and many others in national and foreign jazz clubs.
Numerous albums and videos on YouTube testify to her skills and charisma. IGUANA will play two sets, the first without Valérie with several of her own compositions and the second with Valérie. Valérie's repertoire is exclusively composed of covers of great names in jazz such as Al Jarreau, Diane Schuur, Patti Austin and Maurane. If we go back to the origins of the group, 1997 represents the founding of the group, 1999 the first album (Mysterious Planet) and the famous live concert at the Atelier (Luxembourg). In 2021, bassist Félix Schaber reactivates IGUANA with JJ Wathgen on guitar, Gilles Wagner on drums, Luca Sales on keyboard, Julien Petit on saxophone. No other Luxembourg group has embodied FUSION in its unique and inimitable way for years.
