In the days of silent cinema, films projected on the big screen were often accompanied live by a pianist or organist. Cinema and music have always been closely linked and there are many films today whose success is mainly due to the talent of the composer in giving strength to the images through the dramatic content of his music and his arrangements.
The Grand Ducal Military Band will give a Ciné Concert at the Artikuss with Symphony No. 6 - The Blue Marble by Julie Giroux, Excerpts from ET by John Williams, as well as works by Hans Zimmer, Alan Silvestri and many others, with projections on the big screen!
The Grand Ducal Military Band is placed under the direction of Lt.-Col. Jean-Claude Braun.
