Melenas are a garage fuzz kraut pop indie reverbcore band from Pamplona, Spain that will have fans of The Feelies, Neu!, Stereolab and classic C86 pop falling for their infectious synths, shimmering guitars, smooth melodies and driving rhythms. They also add a touch of soft, sun-focused psych to their kraut-rock influenced sound. Bright melodies, fresh basslines, acidic touches and a Lindy Morrison drumming style adorned with fuzz and phaser and surrounded by heavenly vocal harmonies.
After touring their first two albums around the world with shows at Primavera Sound, SXSW (twice), Eurosonic, Levitation France, Bilbao BBK, all over the UK and even at New York Fashion Week (where they performed on Ulla Johnson's catwalk), in 2021 they won the MME award at the Eurosonic festival, an award that has already been won by Rosalia, Hinds, Fontaines DC or Dua Lipa.
In 2024, they toured extensively in Europe, with sold-out concerts in Madrid, Paris, London and Berlin, and released "Ahora Remixes", an EP with covers of their songs by Peanut Butter Wolf, Tim Gane (Stereolab) and Hidrogenesse.
