With these new works, Luc Doerflinger takes a stand against the heaviness imposed on our imaginations by an ambient order denying any capacity for the image to be what it has been since the dawn of humanity – namely an address to the human mind to think beyond. The image, painting, remains a matter of putting our gaze and our ability to see beyond the visible under tension to what makes presence.
