When a farewell to the theater turns into an irresistible one-man show. For Haïm Menahem, founder of Théâtre Joliette in Marseille, it's time to depart. The theater is over, the lights are turned off, the curtain is lowered. To bid farewell, he commissioned author Marion Aubert to write a text composed of his memories and her words. The result is a finely crafted and surprising monologue in which the artist reflects on the key moments that have shaped his existence: childhood, soccer, exile, Marseille, encounters, theater, and his love for Pierrette, his theater and life partner… True to his playfulness and love for the burlesque, Haïm Menahem delivers his swan song, a sincere and joyful farewell, full of flair; a reflection of himself. And because his story is full of universal emotions, it speaks to us all. In the mirror Haïm holds up, one can recognize a fragment of themselves.
