The toad is subject to metamorphosis: in ponds, the tadpole becomes a frog; in tales, the animal becomes a prince charming. Under this funny and enigmatic title develops the true story of two young Polish doctors and friends who, in 1940, save thousands of lives thanks to the fruit of their imagination: their medical trickery and their audacious comedy save the inhabitants of Rozwadow from the deportation planned by the Nazis. The stratagem they imagine seems sufficiently dramatic and funny to the author to make it a slightly crazy historical comedy. Come and witness the research of Anastazy who, in New York in the 90s, sets off on the trail of his grandfather in order to shed light on the events that allowed a toad to resist the German eagle…
