Winter promises to be caliente… Inspired by the poses of ancient Greeks and Marvel superheroes, Dos plunges you into the unlikely encounter of two bodies that are worlds apart.
In a boxing ring, Marco Delgado, a slender and graceful dancer, and Valentin Pythoud, a muscular and powerful acrobat, engage in a physical duet that is as much a mating dance as it is a Greco-Roman wrestling match. Playing off their physical differences with humour and poetry, their bodies intertwine, repel, and reunite to ultimately become one.
Set to the psychedelic music of Erkin Koray, the Anatolian rock superstar of the 1970s, this duel, both funny and clumsy, sensual and fragile, resonates as a tender tribute to all bodies, however imperfect they may be. A quirky performance that evokes the charming whimsy of another duo: Un Poyo Rojo, a show that set our audiences ablaze in October 2021.
