Ukiyo (the floating world), Oto (the sound), percussionist Yuko Oshima draws on traditional Japanese music by invoking the richness of the writing and the sobriety in the phrasing of Nagauta. She will set off as a trio in search of this unique Japanese groove.
With The Handover, another journey and another groove; this trio explores the common and unusual meanings of Egyptian ritual music and elegantly combines the delicacy of classical Arabic music and the spontaneity of free improvisation.
