The CINE MOMENTS highlight the invited composers of the Helen Buchholtz Salon and their works from a different perspective. The island of Ouessant, summer 2015. Music resonates. It is the 'Musiciennes à Ouessant' festival – dedicated to Luxembourgish female composers. Three contemporary composers, Catherine Kontz (invited composer at the Helen Buchholtz Salon in 2022), Albena Petrovic-Vratchanska, and Tatsiana Zelianko (invited composer at the Helen Buchholtz Salon this year), were inspired by their predecessor Lou Koster to transcribe and reconstruct her music, as well as to create original pieces. It’s an opportunity for musicians and the public to meet on this 'island of women', the nickname for Ouessant. Film from the CNA archives.
