Welcome to an exceptional concert with Machine à trois (Mà3), a percussive chamber music ensemble. Formed by Pascal Meyer, Rachel Xi Zhang and Laurent Warnier, Mà3 offers a unique combination of three instruments from the keyboard family: piano, marimba and vibraphone.
Their performances blend the sounds of piano strings, wooden and metal blades, creating music that ranges from dreamlike soundscapes to rhythmic grooves. An experience like no other!
For Unlearn, in addition to the trio's original compositions, five renowned musicians from the jazz world were invited to write works in close collaboration with the trio. They are pianists Kirke Karja, Franz von Chossy, Michel Reis, multi-instrumentalist Pol Belardi and conductor and saxophonist Luise Volkmann.
The sonic result promises to be an exciting blend of contemporary classical music inspired by jazz, with influences
