Anywhere anytime & Palazzina LAF - projections
As part of the Villerupt Italian Festival, two films will be screened at the Kufa on November 4.
6:30 p.m. screening: “Anywhere Anytime”
Issa (Ibrahima Sambou) is a young illegal immigrant trying to survive in Turin. He has been laid off and has to find a solution. A friend offers him a job as a bicycle delivery man, but he has no money. His friend lends him enough to buy a second-hand bicycle. However, the bicycle is stolen. Issa then embarks on a desperate quest to find it. Any resemblance to a well-known film may not be coincidental.
8:30 p.m. screening: “Palazzina LAF”
In Taranto, 1997, Caterino Lamanna (Michele Riondino) is a simple worker at Ilva, the largest steelworks in Europe. At the request of his superior, he spies on his colleagues in exchange for benefits. He is transferred to the Palazzina LAF, which in reality is a place to force employees to resign or demote themselves. However, when a rebellion breaks out, Caterino supports the oppressors.
