This year, it's the hero Percy Jackson who will welcome you to the library through the exhibition "Fantasy and Mythologies" co-constructed with the Adventure Literature Library (BiLA).
During this expedition into the heart of myths, you will have the pleasure of (re)discovering the literary genre of fantasy and its mythological inspirations, particularly Greco-Roman, Nordic, and Egyptian. For lovers of local history, a focus on Orolaunum and religion during the Gallo-Roman era of our city will be presented. Which gods were worshiped in the 1st century AD in Arlon? This part is in collaboration with the Archaeological Museum, many thanks to them!
Finally, Percy Jackson, the literary saga by Rick Riordan, will conclude this beautiful journey. You will discover the author's overall work, as well as a reflection on the reinterpretation of ancient myths in our time. In short, for the epic and mythical, visit the library in Arlon.
