An impressive system of fortifications, almost entirely disappeared since the Treaty of London in 1867, defended Kirchberg and protected the fortress city. The engineer Vauban, who led the work of the siege in 1684, received a mission to develop a project for strengthening the fortress. The museum offers two-hour guided tours of these fortifications.

Participants must be equipped with suitable clothing, sturdy shoes and a flashlight. Departure: Funicular, bld JF Kennedy, Kirchberg. Available languages: DE, EN, FR, LU.
