Guided Tour of the New Permanent Exhibition

From the introduction of the exhibition, at the entrance of the grand hall, the public discovers the new exhibition, which consists of printed texts, documents and objects under display cases, mechanical devices, audio recordings, films, projections, infographics, and interactive screens. This mix of media allows all audiences to find their happiness.
To complement and give voice to those who have experienced this difficult period, audio testimonies complete each of the panels of the historical exhibition. They can be consulted using a smartphone via QR codes.
While the exhibition mainly follows a thematic approach, the two timelines on the ground floor and the first floor allow interested visitors to delve into the details of history.
To put faces on history, short biographies allow visitors to discover men and women who were directly involved. This is also the approach of the biographical niches in the grand hall, which should be explored before or after the visit to the historical exhibition itself. In 11 niches, 28 historical figures and 16 current Luxembourg residents tell their life stories, as victims, as civilians, or as actors.
