While the first comic strips appeared in the 19th century, it was at the end of the 1930s in the United States that they experienced significant growth. They often told short, humorous stories and were quickly given the generic name "Comics." Of course, Comics today encompass many genres, but the most famous genre in Europe is the Superhero Comics, popularized and widely distributed by Marvel or DC Comics. Having moved beyond paper form, Comics are currently an inexhaustible source of inspiration for American cinema, which, with its blockbusters, elevates the genre to new heights. This exhibition decodes the many stereotypes of superheroes subject to strict constraints, such as costumes, postures, powers, and other missions, to which each of them must adhere under threat of disappearance. “A colorful exhibition that both young and old will devour!”
