A play presented by the Compagnie La Chimère. "Louis Pasteur! We know his name, but do we really know the man? Philoléthos, a "friend of the truth", decides to conduct his investigation in order to learn more about him. Meeting his wife Marie, his daughter Marie-Louise and his faithful collaborators, as well as other characters who crossed his path, such as little Joseph Meister who was the first to be vaccinated against rabies, he will gradually lift the veil that has covered the statue for over a century. He will enter the intimacy of the scientist, penetrate the secret of his laboratory. He will see the struggles that he had to lead against his adversaries, and the doubts that assailed him. Because beyond the Epinal image, we find a man with his strengths and weaknesses, a man fully living his emotions and feelings, a man who persisted, against all odds, in searching all his life for what he thought was the truth."
