Happy anniversary to the Belcea Quartet! This season marks the thirtieth anniversary of this renowned quartet, known for the excellence of its performances and the diversity of its collaborations. Their program juxtaposes two pieces that have the uniqueness of being performed in a single movement: the Quartet No. 1 by Arnold Schönberg, a piece from the early 20th century performed for the first time at the Philharmonie, and the Quartet Op. 131 by Ludwig van Beethoven, a pinnacle of boldness and modernity.
