Kamishibai Creation Workshop at the Côte des Roses Media Library
Laura, a media librarian, invites you to adapt one of Alain Gaussel's 'Contes à croquer' (Syros Editions) onto this medium... before testing it, of course! Have you perhaps already encountered this lovely Japanese word: kamishibai? It comes from 'kami' – paper and 'shibaï' – theater. This paper theater allows the audience to view illustrations together while the storyteller reads the paper cards one by one (as only he/she can see the text written on their back).
