John D, a septuagenarian living in a luxury hotel on the Côte d'Azur, is intrigued by his neighbor who reminds him of the wildest times on the Riviera in the 60s. Back then, he was a spy in a world that was expanding and full of promises. One day, the neighbor mysteriously disappears... and John is faced again with his demons: are his old adversaries back to bring chaos to his idyllic world? In the depths of an ultra-referenced universe, the spy film is reinvented, split over two eras, showing a life of fantasies now worn out. With continuously renewed inventiveness, Cattet and Forzani create a swift, epileptic film where death claims the most beautiful of trains.
