After the unexpected death of a conspiracy-obsessed father, his daughter receives his patent for an experimental healing device. Using archival footage from actress Callie Hernandez's real-life deceased father, INVENTION explores the grieving process of a complicated parent, with the filming itself becoming part of the process.
A hybrid work that narrates the process of mourning in its most fantastical forms. Driven by a collaborative effort between Courtney Stephens and actress Callie Hernandez, both of whom lost their fathers, Invention is a quest where shadows and objects mysteriously come to life.
