Claude Chappe's aerial telegraph allowed messages to be sent from Paris to Strasbourg via Metz at TGV speed... long before the advent of electricity. In Metz, the relays were placed on the courthouse roof and the summit of Mont Saint-Quentin. Discover the history of communication!
