This participative workshop is intended for anyone in Luxembourg who is looking for housing or wishes to actively contribute to the creation of affordable housing.
Participants will gain insights into the opportunities and benefits offered by cooperative housing: affordable housing through self-help, involvement in design decisions, cooperative financing benefits, as well as communal living. The workshop also addresses the challenges of this model, such as the time demands of the founding and implementation processes, the complexity of collective decision-making structures, or potential tensions between individual and collective interests.
By the end of the workshop, participants will develop an informed understanding of the cooperative model and assess its relevance to their needs, while acquiring practical knowledge on initiating and implementing a cooperative housing project in Luxembourg. This workshop is led by Céline Zimmer, the curator of the exhibition.
