Exhibition of Johan de Crem's Paintings
Johan de Crem's work is the culmination of forty years of passion for birds. A self-taught ornithologist, he paints birds with scientific accuracy, using sketches, photographs, and videos as references. His works reflect thorough observation of nature with meticulous attention to details, from feathers to twigs. Born in 1962 in Knocke-le-Zoute in Belgium and currently based in Avignon, Johan de Crem trained at the Académies des Beaux-Arts in Liège and Brussels. Since 1983, he has fully devoted himself to wildlife painting, gaining international recognition. His illustrations appear in scientific publications and stamps for the Luxembourgish Post.
