Historically, women's bodies in art have often been depicted by men, reducing them to muses or objects of desire. This panel discussion explores how female artists and theorists reinvent these images to reclaim their bodies. Speakers:
- Julie Beauzac: Art historian and creator of the feminist podcast "Did Venus Shave Her Vulva?"
- Lucile Girardet: PhD student in plastic arts, studying emancipation through bodily representations, especially involving menstrual blood.
- Chloé Burt: Visual artist, portraying women’s bodies imbued with monstrosity and power.
