ESCH2022 - European Capital of Culture 2022! 🎼

Esch 2022, you've been hearing about it for several years, but you don't really know what it means?
You should know that this is THE project to follow closely in the coming months and that it will take place in the south of Luxembourg and in the East of France, since the region has been elected European Capital of Culture for the year 2022, and it promises to be great!

KÉZAKO ?

The goal of this project (rather hot let's admit it! 🍀), is to highlight the diversity of European culture, to encourage encounters and to transmit the values of Europe. So let's tell you that in Esch, there's everything you need from that point of view.
The mining and industrial past of the city has obviously left its mark for a long time, but this has also allowed it to enrich itself with a cosmopolitan population and a reaaally rich cultural mix.

And then with time the city reinvented itself, and transformed by an almost magic wand its Hauts-Fournaux into a museum, its slaughterhouses into a Cultural Center, its green spaces into fabulous landscapes and small havens for sportsmen and walkers... ✨

And we looove that, because it only promises positive things for this region that deserves to shine more.

And by the way, they were in such a hurry, that they concocted for us the first ALL FREE events from September 2021. Discover all the info below... and don't forget to register so you don't miss a thing.

The big launch of Esch2022 will take place on February 26, 2022 (you can already block the date in your diary 😎), because we promise you a beautiful cultural and popular projects under the sign of participation, co-creation, good mood, exchange...
You will be able to participate in more than 130 projects of artists, associations, institutions, municipalities around the idea of REMIX, the combination of the old and the new... spread out in the different partner cities of the Esch2022 project.

In total, there will be more than 2000 events to discover, spread over 10 communes in the south of Luxembourg and 8 communes in the East of France. (cocoricooo ! 🐔)
