Calling all weekend warriors (and adventurers of every day): the Moselle³-Trail is 33 km of hiking, 900 meters of elevation, and a whole day to explore three countries powered by your own two feet. France, Luxembourg, Germany—zero borders... and zero excuses not to dive in.

A scenery that takes your breath away (and your legs too).

Starting from Schengen, the trail doesn’t waste any time: a steep climb to wake up those legs. Then come the ridges and forests, terraced vineyards, and hidden valleys. Along the way, the remnants of WWII tell their tale: a moss-covered trench, an abandoned bunker, rusty anti-tank barriers... It’s like a movie set, but here, we’re the heroes.

Picnic pause: a sacred moment.

By kilometer 19, welcome to Belmach, a tiny hamlet where we decide it’s the perfect spot for a feast. No need for a checkered tablecloth, just a patch of grass, a homemade sandwich, and a sip of fresh water. Absolute silence, just the sound of leaves and birds. The ultimate luxury.

It’s also the moment we start negotiating with our legs: “Come on, just 14 more km, then we’re done...” Because yes, the break is nice, but there are still a few hills to climb. So, we retie our shoes, adjust our backpacks, and set off again, belly (and spirits) lifted.

The finish: victory and liquid comfort.

The last few kilometers test our patience. At every turn, we hope to see the car... which is never there. But after 9.5 hours of walking, bingo! We’re almost there. Our feet (and our minds) are begging for mercy, calves are bruised, but the pride is immense.

And how to finish on a high note?
A well-earned drink. A bar, a terrace, a cold beverage, and that delightful feeling of being exhausted, but oh-so-happy. We finally drop our bags, stretch (or not), and savor the moment. Because the best adventures always end with a drink.
